Troubleshooting Steps
- Confirm the camera is connected to power.
- Check for the green light to confirm the camera is receiving power when vehicle ignition is on.
NOTE: The linxCam has 3 power connection points.
- The barrel connector closest to the camera that connects to the power cable.
- The barrel connector closest to the G-Sensor where the OBD or Hardware Power Connector are attached.
- The Power Connector attachment point to the vehicle.
- For OBD devices, this is the OBD port.
- For hardwired devices, this will be where red (constant power), orange (switched ignition), and black (ground) wires are connected.

- If the camera DOES have a green light while vehicle ignition is on, power cycle the camera by removing it from power until this light goes out before reconnecting.
- This can take about 2-5 minutes to complete.
- If the camera does NOT have a green light and is not receiving power, install the camera in a second vehicle and confirm whether the light comes on and camera comes back online.
- If the camera comes back online in the second vehicle, this suggests the power cable or wiring connection needs to be replaced.
